Frequently Asked Massage Therapy Questions

What exactly is Neuromuscular Therapy?

Neuromuscular Therapy (NMT) is a specialized clinical approach that uses targeted pressure on specific trigger points to release muscle tension and restore nerve-to-muscle patterns. Unlike traditional massage, it focuses on resolving the structural and neurological causes of pain.

What do I need to prepare for a mobile visit?

We bring all the necessary clinical equipment, including a professional table, medical-grade linens, and orthopedic tools. You simply need to provide a quiet floor space of approximately 6' x 10' for the session setup.

What should I expect during my first session?

Your initial visit includes a brief clinical assessment of your posture and movement to identify pain sources. We then proceed with targeted manual therapy, followed by a discussion of recovery goals and home-care recommendations to improve mobility.

Is medical massage different from a typical spa treatment?

Yes. Medical massage is goal-oriented and evidence-based. While it is relaxing to resolve pain, our primary focus is reducing symptoms related to soft tissue injuries, muscle imbalances, and chronic mobility issues through specific orthopedic techniques. Medical massage is a clinical, outcome-based therapy focused on resolving specific orthopedic or neuromuscular conditions.

Do you offer sessions in the workplace?

Absolutely. We bring mobile clinical care to corporate environments to address postural strain and the repetitive stress injuries often associated with desk-based work, helping to increase comfort and productivity on-site.

Insurance & Reimbursement

Restorative Kinetics operates as an out-of-network provider, ensuring that your treatment plan is driven by clinical necessity rather than insurance limitations. We accept cash, Zelle, Venmo, debit cards, and all major credit cards. Payment is expected at the time of service or prepaid through our mobile payment processing portal.

Cancellation Policy

Your appointment is a reserved clinical time essential for your recovery. We require a minimum of 24 hours' notice for cancellations. Sessions cancelled with less than 24 hours' notice are subject to a full service fee, ensuring we can maintain availability for all clients in pain.

Frequently Asked Billing Questions

Do you accept insurance?

Restorative Kinetics is an out-of-network clinic. While direct billing to insurance carriers is not available, we provide a detailed superbill following your session. You may submit this clinical documentation to your carrier for potential reimbursement or to apply toward your deductible.

How do I pay for my sessions?

All payments are due as prepay or at the time of service. We accept cash, Zelle, Venmo, and all major credit cards. Restorative Kinetics LLC will provide invoices for FSA/HSA if a Letter of Medical Necessity is obtained from your physician to allow for client reimbursement.

What is the cancellation policy?
